First and foremost please understand that the purpose of this site is NOT combat. We as the staff have dealt with our fair share of combat heavy sites and attempt to avoid such with this site. With that said, if combat is absolutely nessecary we do have a set of guidelines that must be followed - put in place so that we're ready in case the situation were to arise.

We follow by T1 standards. That is turn based, paragraph fighting. It's much like a game of chess; you cannot state that you have struck your opponent, but your job is to put them into a position where they have no other alternative but to accept the blow and take the hit. You do this by adding in as much detail as possible, and attempting to make things as clearly understood as you can. T1 has several rules which must be followed:

1. We do not have Ability/Item lists here on this site since we're not combat heavy, with that being said you must write an introduction when entering into a fight that lists the items and abilities your character is capable of (items must follow the rules set dealing with our time period). Anything not listed in this introduction one it has been posted you cannot do - you also may NOT go back and edit your introduction at a later period of time to add anything in. Once it is posted it is finalized. Attempting to change it or sneak anything in is considered cheating, and cheaters will be dealt with via the instant (and permenant) death of your character.

2. You may not auto-hit, or claim that you have struck your opponent. You may only put them into a position where their character is left with no other option but to take the hit.

3. You cannot fight someone just because you want to (this is to eliminate OOC things being taken IC). This means that you cannot just pop up and randomly decide you want to off someones character - you must have had previous character interaction. You must also get the approval of staff before you may fight someone, and you must have valid reasons as to why you want to fight the other person.

4. When you fight someone you must first enter a thread in which you challenge that person (and it cannot be in the first post). Once that challenge is set then a new thread is started where only those involved in the actual fight may post. A staff member will start this thread and post a listing of rules that must be followed for that particular fight (the rules may differ between staff members, or from one fight to another). These rules can be anything from the time period you have to post within, to what weapons are and are not allowed (on top of following the rules for items listed above).

Special Note: Please note that these rules do not include violence against NPC's. That's allowed at the will of the player.
